SmartMint Careers, acting on behalf of an esteemed client, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join their professional team in Dar es Salaam. This role is essential for maintaining the financial health of the organization, ensuring all records are up to date, and providing strategic financial advice to the management team. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial planning, auditing, and compliance with national tax regulations.
In this position, you will be responsible for preparing comprehensive financial reports, managing day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring that all financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. The role demands a high level of integrity and the ability to work under pressure to meet month-end and year-end deadlines. The monthly net salary for this position is TZS 1,500,000.

Key Requirements
Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in accounting or a related financial field.
Must possess a valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting.
High level of integrity, accuracy, and meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial data.
Proficiency in modern accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Solid understanding of Tanzanian tax laws and statutory compliance requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
Experience in bank reconciliations, payroll management, and ledger maintenance.
