MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN @ SIMBA FOREST PRODUCTS LTD
SIMBA Forest Products Ltd is seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Technician to join our team in Mafinga. As a leading manufacturer of top-quality timber products, we rely on our mechanical team to ensure that our operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently to maintain our commitment to sustainable production. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our industrial plant machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and peak operational performance. Your contribution will be vital in supporting our facility's output and upholding the high standards of our timber production process. The successful candidate will work onsite in Mafinga, Tanzania, where they will collaborate with production teams to optimize machine functionality and support our long-term sustainable goals.
Key Requirements
Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician in an industrial setting
Solid knowledge of industrial plant operation and safety standards
Proven ability to perform both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks
Proficiency in Spare Parts Inventory Management and tracking
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and engineering blueprints
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Competence in the use of standard industrial hand and power tools
Basic computer literacy for maintenance reporting and documentation
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment
