SILO COMPLEX AND RAW MATERIAL MANAGER @ SILVERLANDS TANZANIA
Silverlands Tanzania is seeking a disciplined, hands-on, and highly accountable professional to manage our silo complex and raw material stocks at Makota Farm in Iringa. The manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate stock control, safe storage, and the efficient movement of raw materials in and out of the silos and feed mill. This role is essential for supporting production efficiency and overall business growth through rigorous oversight of the supply chain operations. Key responsibilities include leading the silo, warehouse, and weighbridge teams while maintaining high standards of safety, housekeeping, and documentation. The successful candidate will monitor stock quality and losses, prepare comprehensive stock reports for management and auditors, and ensure full compliance with internal controls and ESG standards. Close collaboration with the Feed Mill Manager and Finance department is required to ensure raw material availability and accurate financial reconciliation of inventory assets.
Key Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience in silo operations, warehouse management, grain handling, or inventory control.
Experience in agribusiness, feed mill, or commodity trading environments is highly preferred.
Experience with banks, collateral management, or warehouse receipt systems is an advantage.
Good understanding of stock accounting, valuation, and reconciliation processes.
Strong Excel skills and experience with inventory, ERP, or warehouse management systems.
Strong leadership skills with experience supervising silo, warehouse, and weighbridge teams.
High integrity, accountability, and a firm commitment to safety and ESG standards.
Relevant degree or diploma in Agriculture, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or Logistics.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage stock losses and shrinkage.
Excellent communication skills for reporting to management, banks, and auditors.
