Silver Entertrade Tanzania Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to manage financial operations, reporting, and statutory compliance. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity for logistics and ICD depot operations, ensuring all accounting practices meet regulatory standards and organizational goals.
Key duties involve comprehensive financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, cash flow monitoring, and overseeing tax compliance. The Senior Accountant will also be responsible for coordinating internal and external audits, managing logistics-specific revenue streams such as demurrage and handling charges, and providing leadership to the accounting team to ensure operational efficiency.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
Professional certification such as CPA-T or ACCA.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
Proven experience in logistics, warehousing, or freight forwarding.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
Comprehensive knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws and statutory requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
Ability to manage complex reconciliations and period-end closures.
High integrity and attention to detail.
