QUANTITY SURVEYOR @ SIHOTECH ENGINEERING COMPANY LIMITED
Sihotech Engineering Company Limited is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic professional team. This role involves managing all financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice on construction costs, managing procurement processes, and overseeing contract administration to safeguard the company's interests throughout the project lifecycle. Work locations include Dodoma and various other sites across Tanzania and the Eastern African region. The successful applicant will engage in diverse activities such as conducting site measurements, valuations, and preparing detailed financial and progress reports. Key duties also include risk management and ensuring full compliance with industry regulations. Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Building Economics from a recognized institution.
Registration with the Architects and Quantity Surveyors Registration Board (AQRB) is highly preferred.
A minimum of seven (7) years of practical experience in cost estimation for complex building projects.
Proven expertise in performing accurate site measurements and valuations.
Extensive knowledge of tendering and procurement procedures in the construction industry.
Strong ability to monitor and control project costs effectively.
Experience in contract administration and managing legal obligations.
Proficiency in preparing comprehensive financial and project progress reports.
Solid understanding of risk management and compliance within the engineering sector.
Willingness to work in Dodoma and other locations throughout Tanzania and Eastern Africa.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
