PROJECT MANAGER / HEAD PROJECT MANAGER – POWER SUBSTATIONS (1 POSITION) @ SHIKHA KHATTAR
The Project Manager / Head Project Manager for Power Substations will lead the comprehensive execution of high-voltage and medium-voltage substation projects within Tanzania. This role involves overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle, including Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) phases. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction, execution, and commissioning activities are completed on time, within budget, and according to the highest safety and quality standards relevant to the power infrastructure industry.
Key responsibilities include managing complex technical aspects involving AIS/GIS substation technologies, Transformers, Switchgear, and SCADA systems. The role demands exceptional stakeholder management skills to coordinate between international project teams and local authorities. Key Requirements
Minimum of 5–7 years of professional experience in project management.
Proven expertise in High Voltage (HV) and Medium Voltage (MV) Substation Projects.
Strong background in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and Power Infrastructure.
Demonstrated experience in project construction, execution, and commissioning.
Deep technical knowledge of AIS (Air Insulated Switchgear) and GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) technologies.
Proficiency in managing technical installations involving Transformers and Switchgear.
Advanced knowledge of SCADA systems and their integration in power projects.
Exceptional project and stakeholder management capabilities.
Previous international project exposure, particularly in the power or utility sector.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage diverse project resources effectively.
