LEGAL ASSOCIATE @ SHIKANA GROUP
Shikana Group is looking to recruit a professional Legal Associate to join its dynamic team. This role provides an excellent opportunity for legal professionals to build a solid career in corporate and investment law while working at the forefront of high-impact transactions. The successful candidate will be deeply involved in legal and regulatory advisory, providing essential support for investments and transactions including Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), Joint Ventures (JVs), and Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs). In addition to transaction support, the associate will be responsible for drafting comprehensive legal opinions, reports, and overseeing corporate compliance and company secretarial work. This position is based in Dar es Salaam and requires a candidate who can thrive in a fast-paced advisory environment. The role is designed for a detail-oriented individual capable of managing diverse legal tasks while maintaining high professional standards and contributing to the firm's overall success in advisory services.
Key Requirements
Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized institution.
Successful completion of Law School and admission to practice (mandatory).
Minimum of 1–2 years of professional experience in corporate or commercial law.
Strong drafting skills for legal opinions, contracts, and reports.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Fluency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili.
Solid understanding of investment and transaction support processes.
Competency in corporate compliance and company secretarial duties.
Ability to provide regulatory advisory services effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills for working in a dynamic team environment.
