LEGAL ASSOCIATE @ SHIKANA GROUP
Shikana Group is looking for a dedicated Legal Associate to join their dynamic advisory firm. This role is central to the firm's operations, focusing on high-impact transactions within corporate and investment law sectors. The successful candidate will engage in complex legal and regulatory advisory tasks, providing essential support for investments, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and public-private partnerships. Beyond transaction support, the Legal Associate will handle the drafting of detailed legal opinions and reports. Responsibilities also extend to managing corporate compliance and performing company secretarial work to ensure all client operations align with Tanzanian legal standards. Key Requirements
Must hold an LLB degree from a recognized institution.
Successfully completed Law School and holds the right to practice law.
1–2 years of professional experience in corporate or commercial law.
Strong drafting skills for legal opinions and reports.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Full fluency in English and Kiswahili, both written and spoken.
Experience in legal and regulatory advisory within Tanzania.
Familiarity with investment and transaction support like M&A, JVs, and PPPs.
Proven ability to manage corporate compliance and company secretarial tasks.
Capacity to work in a dynamic, high-impact transaction advisory environment.
