The Maintenance Planner role at Shanta Mining Company Limited is a vital function for our new underground mining operations at Singida. The planner will be tasked with coordinating resources, preparing detailed maintenance schedules, and analyzing equipment performance metrics to drive reliability. This position requires someone with a strong technical background who can optimize asset usage through effective scheduling and logistics.
Key Requirements
Technical Certificate, Diploma, or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, or Maintenance Engineering
Minimum 5 years experience in industrial or mining maintenance
At least 3 years experience in maintenance planning or scheduling
High proficiency in scheduling software and maintenance databases
Strong analytical skills to interpret maintenance data
Excellent organizational and resource management skills
Understanding of preventive maintenance methodologies
Ability to coordinate effectively with materials and procurement teams
Commitment to high safety standards within an underground environment
Willingness to work a 6 weeks on/3 weeks off roster
