FITTER MECHANIC (3 POSITIONS) @ SHANTA MINING COMPANY LIMITED
Shanta Mining Company Limited is seeking three Fitter Mechanics for the Singida Gold Mine transition project. This role focuses on the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of our underground mechanical systems and heavy mining machinery. Successful candidates will be part of a team dedicated to ensuring the reliability of equipment used in portal and decline development.
Applicants will operate under a 6/3 roster and reside in our camp facility. We are looking for skilled mechanics who have extensive experience in heavy machinery environments and can troubleshoot complex mechanical issues to minimize downtime.

Key Requirements
Trade Test Certificate in Mechanical or Diesel Fitting
Minimum 5 years mechanical maintenance experience
Proven experience with underground mining equipment
Familiarity with Sandvik equipment maintenance
Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and schematics
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Commitment to workplace safety and health standards
Ability to work in a 6/3 roster shift cycle
Experience in engine and hydraulic system repair
Willingness to mentor junior maintenance staff
