GRAPHIC & MOTION DESIGNER @ SELCOM
Duka.direct, an innovative e-commerce platform under Selcom, is currently looking for a dynamic Graphic and Motion Designer to join their team at the Dar es Salaam HQ. This role is vital for driving the visual presence of the platform, where you will be tasked with designing static graphics for SMS, in-app features, and web platforms. Additionally, you will produce high-impact motion graphics and video clips tailored for social media and advertising campaigns to boost user engagement. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment, supporting the marketing team in narrating the stories of customers, merchants, and riders. A key part of the role involves monitoring conversion data and adjusting design plans weekly to ensure optimal results. If you are a creative individual who thrives on variety—from designing icons to editing TikTok videos—and you possess strong copywriting skills in both English and Swahili, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Requirements
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for static design.
Competency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects for motion graphics.
Strong grasp of visual hierarchy and conversion hacking principles to guide user attention.
Proven ability to handle high-volume creative asset production at a high standard.
Bilingual proficiency in Swahili and English for creative copywriting tasks.
Understanding of digital marketing metrics such as ROAS and Conversion Rates.
Experience designing for e-commerce platforms and mobile applications.
Ability to translate brand identity into various formats including OOH, digital, and trade materials.
Strong storytelling skills to represent customers, merchants, and riders effectively.
Excellent time management skills with a focus on meeting sacred Friday deadlines.
Analytical mindset to monitor conversions and adapt design plans based on data.
