Seed Co Tanzania, a leading supplier of crop seeds across the continent, is seeking a dedicated Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Officer. This critical role is responsible for the oversight and enforcement of safety protocols across all organizational operations, including those involving employees, contractors, and subcontractors. Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management or a related field of study.
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in Safety, Health, and Environmental management.
In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and statutory compliance requirements in Tanzania.
Proven ability to conduct workplace hazards identification and detailed risk assessments.
Experience in developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and emergency plans.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide guidance and training on safety programs.
Competency in conducting safety inspections, audits, and thorough incident investigations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with staff and regulatory bodies.
Ability to maintain accurate SHE records and manage documentation for compliance reporting.
Agricultural background or an additional management qualification is considered a significant advantage.
