CMG CAPACITY BUILDING SPECIALIST (VICOBA/VSLA/COCOBA) @ SEDIT
This position focuses on enhancing the capacity of rural communities through the implementation of CMG models, including VICOBA, VSLA, and COCOBA. Working under SEDIT in partnership with COWATER – Sweden, the Specialist will design and deliver training programs tailored to women’s economic empowerment and financial literacy. The role is critical in ensuring that rural groups are well-equipped with the knowledge to manage their finances effectively and sustainably.
The Specialist will work closely with community leaders and local stakeholders to foster a supportive environment for financial inclusion. Key responsibilities include conducting training needs assessments, developing curriculum, and monitoring the progress of various CMGs across rural Tanzania. The position aims to strengthen the grassroots structures that support women's enterprise and financial independence.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Sociology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in rural capacity building projects.
Extensive knowledge of VICOBA, VSLA, and COCOBA methodologies.
Proven skills in curriculum development and group facilitation.
Fluent in Swahili and English.
Experience working in remote and rural environments in Tanzania.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to mentor and train community facilitators.
Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation frameworks for community groups.
Understanding of gender-sensitive approaches to development.
