The School Counsellor at SEGA plays a vital role in supporting the emotional well-being, social development, and academic success of vulnerable girls. Located in Mkundi, Morogoro Municipality, this position is central to student welfare, safeguarding, and holistic development within the school environment. The successful candidate will provide both individual and group counseling, addressing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and social challenges faced by students to ensure a safe and supportive learning atmosphere.
In addition to direct counseling, the role involves rigorous case management for at-risk students, conflict resolution, and the implementation of programs focused on life skills and emotional resilience. You will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school leadership to track student progress and prepare comprehensive reports. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Guidance & Counselling, Education, or Social Work.
Minimum 3–4 years of experience specifically working with children or adolescents.
Must be female (gender-specific role).
Preferred age range is 35–40 years.
Ability to provide individual and group counselling sessions.
Proven experience in case management and identifying at-risk students.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
High level of confidentiality and professional ethics.
Ability to handle conflict resolution and behavior management.
