MARINE MECHANIC @ SEAWORKS
Seaworks is urgently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Marine Mechanic to join our offshore operations team. This role is essential for maintaining the mechanical integrity of our dredging fleet, requiring a technician who can handle the rigors of marine environments and ensure that all vessels remain operational and efficient. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with large-scale diesel engines and complex mechanical systems specific to dredging vessels. In this position, you will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance tasks including the repair of deck equipment, pumps, and winches. We are looking for a professional who is ready to join immediately and contribute their expertise to our ongoing projects. This role offers an opportunity to work within a specialized field of maritime engineering with a focus on dredging and large-scale ship repair.
Key Requirements
Demonstrated experience with high-capacity Diesel Engines up to 2,000 HP.
Mandatory hands-on experience working specifically within dredging operations.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing marine Transmissions and Hydraulic Systems.
Experience in maintaining Deck Equipment including specialized pumps and winches.
Ability to troubleshoot and service air Compressors on marine vessels.
Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in the marine mechanics field is preferred.
Availability for immediate joining and deployment to project sites.
Expertise in mechanical assembly and disassembly of marine engine components.
Commitment to adhering to maritime safety standards and environmental regulations.
Strong problem-solving skills to address mechanical failures in offshore environments.
