COMPLIANCE OFFICER @ SEASONS ORCHARDS LIMITED
Seasons Orchards Limited is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Compliance Officer to join our team in Thika. In this role, you will be responsible for strengthening food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across our avocado export operations, specifically targeting the European market. Your primary focus will be ensuring that all processes from the farm to the point of export align with international standards and certifications. You will act as a key Internal Auditor, overseeing audit readiness and maintaining critical certifications such as GLOBALG.A.P, SMETA, BRCGS, and ISO 22000:2018. The successful candidate will drive compliance across the entire value chain, identifying potential risks and implementing corrective actions to maintain the highest quality standards. This is a vital position for ensuring our continued success in the competitive global food export market.
Key Requirements
3–5 years’ experience in compliance or quality management within the fresh produce or food export industry.
Strong expertise and practical knowledge of GLOBALG.A.P standards.
Proficiency in SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) requirements.
Deep understanding of BRCGS (British Retail Consortium Global Standards) for food safety.
In-depth knowledge of ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management Systems.
Expertise in HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) principles and application.
Solid understanding of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) for avocado export.
Proven experience in conducting internal audits and ensuring audit readiness.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing technical reports.
Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to implement and maintain quality control systems.
