SAMAKI COMPLEX is looking for a skilled and passionate Cook (Mpishi) to join our culinary team in Singida. The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare a wide variety of high-quality dishes for our customers, focusing on excellent taste and presentation. You will be expected to manage kitchen operations efficiently, ensuring that all food is prepared in a timely manner while adhering to the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
Beyond cooking, the Mpishi will be responsible for overseeing kitchen procurement and inventory management to ensure all necessary ingredients are available. You will work closely with the service team to ensure complete customer satisfaction. This position is located at our facility near the TIA campus, and it offers an opportunity for a culinary professional to showcase their skills in a fast-paced environment involving both daily meals and special event catering.

Key Requirements
Diploma in culinary arts or significant professional cooking experience.
Minimum of 3 years experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
Proven ability to manage a kitchen independently and supervise kitchen staff.
Expertise in cooking fried foods, roasted meats (choma choma), and various sauces.
Experience in high-volume cooking for large groups and special events.
Strong ability to work cooperatively within a multi-disciplinary team.
Strict adherence to personal and kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper ingredient storage techniques.
Skills in kitchen procurement and managing supplies to minimize waste.
Ability to maintain food quality and consistency under pressure.
Effective time management skills to ensure timely service delivery.
