TECHNICAL OPERATOR - PACKING @ SAID SALIM BAKHRESA & CO. LTD
Said Salim Bakhresa & Co. Ltd is seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Operator - Packing to join their dynamic team in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating sophisticated packing machines to ensure the accurate and efficient packaging of milled products. Beyond operation, the role involves performing autonomous maintenance (AM) tasks, such as basic repairs, machine conversions, and changeovers, to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow.
The role also carries a supervisory aspect, where the operator will oversee shift activities, assign tasks to team members, and monitor overall performance. Safety and quality are paramount; therefore, the candidate must ensure strict compliance with company safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and quality procedures. This includes supporting quality control by verifying product weights, seals, and coding accuracy, as well as maintaining precise records of production reports and inventory levels.

Key Requirements
Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Process Engineering (essential).
Bachelor's degree in a related field (desirable).
Minimum 2 years' experience in manufacturing or food processing.
Strong knowledge of packing machines and processes.
Familiarity with food safety standards and compliance requirements.
Problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
Proficiency in the use of computer systems.
Ability to carry out autonomous maintenance (AM) and machine changeovers.
Experience in supervising shift packing operations and assigning tasks.
