Said Salim Bakhresa & Co. Ltd is seeking a competent and results-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our Technical Department. This role is responsible for ensuring the operational excellence of our mechanical systems, focusing on maintenance planning, execution, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high equipment reliability and minimize costly downtime. The successful candidate will work closely with the milling department to coordinate complex maintenance activities and ensure that all machinery remains in peak condition.
In this capacity, the Mechanical Engineer will provide oversight for equipment installation, commissioning processes, and the management of critical spare parts inventory. You will be expected to analyze performance metrics, document findings, and drive safety and quality standards across the facility. Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Registration with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) is an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in flour milling, food processing, or FMCG sectors.
Strong familiarity with Bühler milling machinery.
Demonstrated ability to perform predictive and corrective maintenance tasks.
Proficiency in equipment installation, commissioning, and spare parts management.
Comprehensive understanding of industrial safety protocols and GMP standards.
Strong analytical skills for equipment performance reporting.
Ability to lead maintenance teams and drive continuous improvement.
