The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and analyzing intricate structural systems, ensuring that all designs meet safety and structural integrity standards. This role requires a professional who can lead structural assessments and provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle. The candidate must be able to translate architectural concepts into sound structural frameworks while adhering to local and international building regulations.
This position involves significant site supervision and coordination with a diverse team of engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure project milestones are met with precision. Work locations will include both Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar, requiring flexibility and strong organizational skills to manage multiple site requirements. Candidates must have a solid background in civil engineering and be proficient in industry-standard software to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced consultancy environment. Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in structural engineering and design.
High level of proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and detailing.
Expertise in ETABS for structural modeling and dynamic analysis.
Proficiency in SAP2000 for advanced finite element analysis.
Valid registration with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) of Tanzania is highly preferred.
Strong project management skills with the ability to lead engineering teams.
Proven ability to supervise construction works on-site and ensure quality control.
In-depth knowledge of safety standards and structural integrity protocols.
Excellent coordination skills to work effectively with engineers, consultants, and contractors.
