TRANSPORT AND DISPATCH MANAGER @ ROYAL MABATI
The Transport and Dispatch Manager at Royal Mabati will play a pivotal role in leading the transformation and daily operations of the company's comprehensive Transport Department. This position requires a strategic leader capable of managing both in-house and outsourced logistics functions with a high degree of accountability. The successful candidate will be tasked with minimizing operational risks such as fuel theft, route deviations, and driver collusion, while ensuring that all transport activities align perfectly with interdepartmental delivery schedules.
Beyond daily dispatching, the role involves heavy emphasis on regulatory compliance and the implementation of technology-driven systems to enhance visibility and cost control. As the overall yard marshal, the manager will enforce order and discipline within the facility, ensuring all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are strictly followed. Key performance indicators will focus on truck turnaround time, fuel efficiency, and safe driving practices, ensuring the fleet remains a cost-effective asset for the organization.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional certification in Transport, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management is an added advantage.
Formal training in Fleet Management, Transport Coordination, Dispatch Operations, or Route Planning.
Proficiency in ERP systems, Fleet Management Systems, GPS Tracking Systems, or Transport Management Software.
3-5+ years' experience in transport operations, dispatch coordination, fleet supervision, or logistics management.
Proven ability to monitor garage and mechanic performance with specific turnaround benchmarks for repairs.
Experience in implementing and enforcing preventive maintenance schedules to reduce breakdown frequency.
Strong capability to work closely with monitoring teams to guarantee real-time daily truck availability.
Demonstrated expertise in sourcing, contracting, and managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
Strategic leadership skills with the ability to implement cost-cutting initiatives through route optimization and inventory management.
