The role is based in Dar es Salaam and requires a dedicated professional to maintain the highest standards of food safety.
As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will oversee compliance across the entire production process, from raw materials to final product release in a fast-paced food processing environment. Your duties include inspecting raw materials, maintaining QA documentation such as SOPs, and enforcing hygiene and GMP standards. You will also be responsible for monitoring cold chain compliance and resolving quality-related customer complaints while coordinating internal and external audits to ensure continuous improvement.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science & Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance within a food processing environment.
In-depth knowledge and practical experience with HACCP and GMP systems.
Strong understanding of ISO 22000 and other relevant international food safety standards.
Familiarity with TBS (Tanzania Bureau of Standards) and TFDA (Tanzania Food and Drugs Authority) regulations.
Proven experience in conducting microbiological, chemical, and sensory laboratory testing.
Ability to identify non-conformities and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Proficiency in maintaining QA documentation, including SOPs, batch records, and traceability systems.
Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret complex quality data.
Excellent communication and training skills to educate production staff on hygiene and quality culture.
