Rose Avenue Consulting Group is seeking a dedicated Workshop Manager on behalf of a prominent logistics and road freight company. This organization is a key player in the transport sector, operating heavily along the Port of Mombasa corridor and delivering goods across various destinations in East and Central Africa. The role involves managing a diverse and high-capacity fleet consisting of Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Tata, and other leading European commercial truck brands.
As the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end maintenance and technical health of the fleet. Your primary goal will be to drive fleet availability, enforce stringent quality standards, and lead a team of skilled mechanics to ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with cross-border regulations. This is a strategic leadership position that requires a hands-on approach to technical challenges and a commitment to operational excellence in the demanding field of long-haul transport.

Key Requirements
Proven experience as a Workshop Manager or in a similar leadership capacity within the logistics and freight industry.
Extensive technical background in heavy-duty commercial vehicle maintenance, specifically with European truck brands.
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage a large team of heavy commercial vehicle mechanics and support staff.
Solid understanding of long-haul transport operations and the specific maintenance needs of cross-border fleets.
Strong knowledge of fleet availability metrics and strategies to minimize vehicle downtime.
Ability to enforce and maintain high-quality standards and safety protocols within the workshop.
Familiarity with cross-border transport compliance and regulations for East and Central Africa.
Hands-on technical experience with Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, and Tata commercial vehicles.
Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate with operations and dispatch teams.
Relevant degree or higher diploma in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
