We are looking for a talented Chef to join our culinary team in Zanzibar. You will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals that reflect both international standards and local flavors. You will oversee kitchen operations, ensuring all dishes are prepared to perfection and delivered in a timely manner. As a leader in the kitchen, you will train junior cooks, manage food stock, and ensure the highest levels of kitchen hygiene and safety. Your culinary expertise and passion for food will contribute to the unique dining experience offered at Roar Capital.
Key Requirements
Culinary school graduate or equivalent professional qualification.
Extensive experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a hotel.
Strong knowledge of diverse cuisines including international and local.
Excellent knife skills and food preparation techniques.
Comprehensive understanding of food safety and sanitation (HACCP).
Ability to lead and manage a diverse kitchen brigade.
Creativity in menu planning and dish presentation.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
Resilience and physical stamina for long kitchen shifts.
