BUILDING CARETAKER @ ROAR CAPITAL
Roar Capital is seeking a dedicated and highly experienced Building Caretaker to join our Real Estate team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall upkeep and maintenance of our properties, ensuring they remain in peak condition. This role requires a hands-on professional who can perform daily inspections to identify defects in tiling, painting, plumbing, and drainage systems, taking immediate action to rectify issues or coordinating with specialists for larger projects.
Beyond technical skills, the ideal candidate must be self-driven and action-oriented, as the role is primarily field-based rather than desk-based. You will be tasked with overseeing the cleanliness and safety of all common areas and surroundings, as well as managing landscaping and outdoor upkeep. With a focus on long-term property value and tenant safety, the Building Caretaker plays a crucial role in responding promptly to wear and tear, leakages, and blockages to prevent further damage.

Key Requirements
FTC/Diploma in Building Maintenance or a related field.
15-20 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance and repairs.
Ability to conduct daily inspections to identify defects such as tiles, paint, plumbing, and drainage.
Proven skill in carrying out minor repairs independently and effectively.
Experience in coordinating major maintenance works with external contractors when needed.
Capable of ensuring buildings, common areas, and surroundings are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Expertise in monitoring and responding promptly to leakages, blockages, and general wear and tear.
Ability to oversee basic landscaping and outdoor upkeep for property aesthetics.
Practical and detail-oriented mindset with a strong eye for identifying structural defects.
Self-driven, responsible, and action-oriented personality, comfortable with a non-desk-based environment.
Proficient communication skills to report maintenance issues to management.
Commitment to workplace safety standards and property management regulations.
