MECHANICAL ENGINEER @ RIDA GROUP
RIDA Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the Oreva Project in Geita, Tanzania. This pivotal role involves overseeing all mechanical systems within a gold processing plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of equipment, ensuring that all operations align with project standards, safety regulations, and quality benchmarks. The position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic mining environment.
Key tasks include managing mechanical infrastructure, interpreting complex engineering drawings, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize plant efficiency. Candidates will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the Carbon-in-Pulp (CIP) systems and other specialized mining machinery used in gold processing. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
5–10 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering roles.
Prior experience in the mining industry or with CIP (Carbon-in-Pulp) systems.
Proficient in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
Strong coordination skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
In-depth knowledge of safety standards and quality control in industrial settings.
Proven experience in the installation and commissioning of heavy machinery.
Excellent problem-solving skills to address mechanical failures or inefficiencies.
Proficiency in relevant engineering software and maintenance management tools.
Strong communication skills for reporting and inter-departmental collaboration.
