MECHANICAL ENGINEER @ RIDA GROUP
RIDA Group is currently seeking a highly qualified Mechanical Engineer to join the Oreva Project based in Geita, Tanzania. This role is central to the development and operation of our gold processing plant, where the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of mechanical systems. Key responsibilities include managing the installation and commissioning of heavy machinery, ensuring all technical activities align with strict safety, quality, and project standards to maintain operational excellence.
In addition to technical oversight, the Mechanical Engineer will be expected to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project timelines are met. The role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and the ability to interpret complex engineering designs to facilitate smooth project execution. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
5–10 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering roles.
Previous experience in the mining sector or with Carbon-in-Pulp (CIP) systems is highly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and implement complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
Strong coordination and leadership skills to manage teamwork in a project environment.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical installation, testing, and commissioning procedures.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of workplace safety and quality control.
Proficiency in project management software and engineering design tools.
Excellent communication and reporting skills for stakeholder management.
Professional registration with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) in Tanzania or equivalent body.
