RIDA Group is seeking a highly skilled and qualified Mechanical Engineer to join the Oreva Project in Tanzania. This pivotal role involves overseeing all mechanical systems within a gold processing plant. Key responsibilities include managing the installation and commissioning of equipment while ensuring that all operations strictly adhere to established safety, quality, and project standards. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the technical integrity of the facility's infrastructure.
The position is based in Geita, Tanzania, and requires a professional capable of coordinating complex mechanical tasks and working effectively within a diverse project team. Beyond technical oversight, the engineer will be responsible for interpreting engineering drawings and ensuring that mining-specific systems, such as CIP (Carbon-In-Pulp) processes, are operating at peak efficiency. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
5–10 years of proven professional experience in mechanical engineering.
Prior experience working within the mining industry or with CIP (Carbon-In-Pulp) systems.
Proficient ability to read, interpret, and implement complex engineering drawings.
Strong coordination skills to manage multiple technical tasks and personnel.
Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional project teams.
In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and quality control standards in a processing plant environment.
Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of heavy machinery.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical reporting.
Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex mechanical problems under project deadlines.
