ACCOUNTANT - EXTERNAL @ REVERURSE
Reverurse is seeking a dedicated External Accountant to join their consultancy team in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive and accurate financial records, including bookkeeping and complex reconciliations. The role involves the preparation of financial statements in strict accordance with accounting standards and regulations, alongside managing full tax compliance and ensuring the timely filing of all statutory returns. You will be expected to handle accounts payable and receivable efficiently while performing regular bank reconciliations to resolve any discrepancies.
Beyond basic accounting, this position requires the preparation of management reports and the analysis of financial performance to provide actionable insights for business decision-making. The accountant will also support payroll processing, ensuring all statutory deductions are met, and maintain proper documentation for both internal and external audits. Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification such as CPA (T), ACCA, or equivalent is required or in progress.
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an accounting firm.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory frameworks.
Proven experience in preparing financial statements and statutory filings for clients.
Experience working with accounting software like QuickBooks, Sage, or similar tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Excellent client management and professional communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple clients and meet strict deadlines effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel functions.
High level of integrity and professional ethics in handling sensitive financial data.
