SALES MANAGER – FMCG (EDIBLE OILS) @ REDENVELOPE
Redenvelope is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to spearhead our FMCG operations, specifically focusing on the Edible Oils sector in Dodoma, Tanzania. This pivotal role involves building the market from the ground up, requiring a candidate who can drive significant business growth through strategic planning and hands-on execution. The successful applicant will be responsible for achieving ambitious sales targets, developing comprehensive strategies across various trade channels including General Trade, Modern Trade, and HORECA, and establishing a robust distributor network throughout the region. Beyond strategy, the Sales Manager will be tasked with building and leading a dedicated sales team, fostering key client relationships, and increasing brand visibility in a competitive market. Key Requirements
5 to 7 years of professional experience in FMCG sales
Prior experience in the edible oil category or similar food products is preferred
Extensive knowledge of General Trade and Modern Trade sales channels
Familiarity with HORECA and Local Modern Trade (LMT) sectors
Proven track record of building and scaling business operations from zero
Experience working within the Tanzania or East African market context
Ability to recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales force
Strong distributor management and key account relationship skills
Capability to develop and execute strategic sales plans independently
Analytical skills to monitor market trends and competitor activities
