WORKS MANAGER – PRODUCTION & OPERATIONS @ RED ENVELOPE
Red envelope is seeking an experienced and dynamic Works Manager to oversee Production & Operations within the Mining, Beneficiation & NPK Fertilizer Manufacturing industry in Tanzania. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of large-scale manufacturing processes, operational excellence, and stringent quality and safety standards. The successful candidate will be instrumental in leading all aspects of mining, beneficiation, and NPK production, driving efficiency, and ensuring compliance across all operations.
Key responsibilities include leading production planning, managing plant equipment and maintenance programs, and overseeing quality control with adherence to ISO 9001 standards. The Works Manager will also be responsible for ensuring comprehensive HSE compliance, managing budgets and optimizing costs, and fostering positive workforce relations. This role demands leadership of large multi-shift manufacturing operations, emphasizing strong exposure to production, maintenance, quality, and HSE management within heavy manufacturing environments. Candidates must be willing to relocate to East Africa, specifically Tanzania, to take on this challenging and rewarding opportunity.

Key Requirements
10+ years of experience in a Works Manager or similar Production & Operations role.
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mineral Processing, or a related field.
Proven experience in Fertilizer, Mining, Chemical, Cement, or Heavy Manufacturing Industries.
Strong exposure to Production, Maintenance, Quality, and HSE Management.
Demonstrated ability to lead large plant operations and multidisciplinary teams.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
Experience in handling employee relations, workforce discipline, and performance management.
Capability to lead Mining, Beneficiation & NPK Production Operations.
A strong track record in driving Production Planning & Operational Excellence.
Proficiency in Budget Management & Cost Optimization.
Willingness to relocate to East Africa (Tanzania).
