HEAD OF IT @ RED ENVELOPE
Red Envelope is looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of IT to drive end-to-end technology strategy and execution within a fast-growing, multi-location environment. The successful candidate will lead the entire IT function, including strategy, governance, and project execution, while managing core systems such as POS, ERP, HRMS, and inventory reporting tools. This role is pivotal in ensuring system reliability and cybersecurity across various business locations.
In addition to strategic leadership, the Head of IT will oversee the IT setup for new outlets, including DATA, LAN, VOICE, and TV infrastructure. The role involves managing outsourced vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring SLAs are met to facilitate seamless operations. By enabling digital transformation and automation, the Head of IT will play a critical role in fostering data-driven decision-making and supporting the high-growth trajectory of the company in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Key Requirements
Minimum 10+ years of IT experience
5+ years in a leadership role (Head of IT or equivalent)
Strong exposure to QSR / Retail / Hospitality environments
Hands-on experience in managing IT projects for multi-location setups
Expertise in vendor management and outsourced IT models
Proficiency in managing core systems like POS, ERP, HRMS, and inventory tools
Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including DATA, LAN, VOICE, and TV setups
Strong understanding of cybersecurity protocols and system reliability
Proven ability to drive digital transformation and automation initiatives
Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams
