BRANCH ACCOUNTANT @ RED ENVELOPE

The core responsibilities of this role encompass managing daily financial controls, including meticulous cash and banking reconciliations, and diligently monitoring collections. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records through regular verification and stringent control over stock movements. Additionally, the role involves overseeing route settlements, promptly identifying and reporting any variances or potential risks. Maintaining proper documentation and accurate ERP records for all financial and operational transactions is crucial. The Branch Accountant will also support month-end closing activities, including stock validation and reconciliation processes, and will be tasked with preparing and submitting periodic reports related to finance, operations, and overall branch performance. Ensuring strict compliance with internal policies and statutory/regulatory requirements, safeguarding company assets (cash, inventory, vehicles, equipment), and coordinating effectively with Sales, HR, Finance, and Internal Audit teams are key to smooth branch operations. Key Requirements
2-4 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the FMCG/Manufacturing industry.
Mandatory experience with ERP systems.
Proficiency in English communication, ranging from good to excellent.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
In-depth knowledge of inventory and cash management practices.
Ability to manage cash, banking, and daily financial controls, including reconciliations and collection monitoring.
Proven experience in preparing and submitting periodic reports related to finance, operations, and branch performance.
Capability to ensure compliance with internal policies and statutory/regulatory requirements.
High level of integrity, strong attention to detail, and excellent analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to identify risks and enforce compliance measures.
