TENDERING & PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST – ELECTRICAL & SOLAR PROJECTS @ RECRUITER
The Tendering & Procurement Specialist will join a dynamic team within the electrical and solar energy sector, focusing on the end-to-end tender process and procurement lifecycle. You will be responsible for preparing both technical and financial proposals independently, ensuring strict compliance with client requirements and deadlines. Key tasks include analyzing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), developing competitive cost estimates, and coordinating with technical teams to align tender submissions with project specifications. A competitive salary package will be offered based on qualifications and experience.
In addition to tender preparation, you will manage procurement operations by sourcing high-quality electrical and solar materials from reliable vendors. This includes negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and forecasting demand for critical components like solar panels and inverters to prevent project delays. You will also be expected to utilize procurement platforms such as TANePS and maintain thorough documentation of all supply chain activities, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations and risk management strategies.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Procurement, or a related field.
2–5 years of proven experience in a corporate or technical environment.
Demonstrated hands-on experience in tender preparation and submission.
Proven track record of participating in and winning tenders.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, solar solutions, and electrical materials/equipment supply.
Ability to independently prepare technical and financial proposals.
Experience using TANePS and other procurement platforms.
Strong skills in BOQ analysis, costing, and pricing strategy.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
Strong communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools for reporting and costing sheets.
Knowledge of market trends in the electrical and renewable energy sectors.
