GENERAL MANAGER – TECHNICAL (STEEL MANUFACTURING) @ RECRUIT KINGS
Recruit Kings is seeking a highly skilled and strategic General Manager – Technical to oversee operations for a leading integrated steel manufacturing company based in Tanzania. The role involves managing the full technical scope of production, including Induction Furnace operations, SMS, Rolling Mills, and Tube Mills to ensure peak plant efficiency and productivity.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Kaizen. You will lead cross-functional teams, maintain strict HSE compliance standards, and play a pivotal role in spearheading plant expansion projects across the region. This is a senior leadership position requiring a robust technical background in the steel sector.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Metallurgical, Mechanical, or Industrial)
Minimum 15 years of experience in integrated steel manufacturing
At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership capacity
Proven expertise in plant operations and production planning
Strong knowledge of maintenance management and cost control strategies
Experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or Kaizen
Strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) compliance
Ability to lead and mentor large cross-functional technical teams
Demonstrated experience in managing plant expansion and capital projects
International or Africa-based professional experience is highly preferred
