WAREHOUSE /INVENTORY OFFICER @ RECROOT AFRICA
Recroot Africa is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Warehouse/Inventory Officer for a graphite mining project in Tanzania. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of warehouse inventory management, ensuring seamless operations to support our mining activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, optimizing storage solutions, and facilitating the efficient flow of materials within the warehouse.
Key responsibilities include receiving, inspecting, and meticulously recording all incoming goods, as well as diligently maintaining precise inventory records. The officer will also monitor stock levels to proactively identify and report any shortages, manage the issuance of materials, and meticulously track usage. Participation in regular stock counts and reconciliations is essential to ensure data accuracy. Furthermore, this role requires ensuring proper storage practices, accurate labeling of all items, and strict adherence to warehouse safety protocols to maintain a secure and organized working environment. Key Requirements
3-5 years' experience in inventory management within a fast-paced environment
Previous experience in the mining industry is highly preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse procedures and best practices for stock control
Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with inventory management systems
Demonstrated strong organizational skills, accuracy, and effective communication abilities
Ability to work effectively in a site-based environment, often remote
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution
Excellent attention to detail to ensure inventory accuracy
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
