QA/QC INSPECTOR @ REC ROOTAFRICA
We are seeking a dedicated QA/QC Inspector with an electrical background to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of quality control activities, primarily focusing on monitoring and testing electrical cables and terminations. You will be expected to verify that all electrical components and installations meet project specifications, international standards, and client requirements. This role involves witnessing and verifying essential tests such as Insulation Resistance (IR), Hipot, VLF, and sheath testing, ensuring that all test equipment is valid and properly utilized to achieve accurate results.
In addition to technical inspections, the QA/QC Inspector must be proficient in document control and administrative oversight. This includes preparing and executing quality documents such as Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and test forms. You will maintain a comprehensive quality dossier for projects, documenting all non-conformances and following up on corrective actions. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement and strictly adhering to safety and quality procedures, you will play a vital role in the successful delivery of our electrical infrastructure projects.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
Proven professional experience as a QA/QC Inspector or Quality Control Engineer in electrical projects.
Demonstrated expertise in monitoring the quality and testing of electrical cables and terminations.
Strong understanding of electrical testing methods, including IR, Hipot, VLF, and sheath testing.
Ability to operate and verify the validity of various electrical test equipment.
Proficiency in the preparation and execution of quality documents such as ITPs and checklists.
Excellent attention to detail and organized documentation skills for maintaining project dossiers.
Solid knowledge of project lifecycle processes to maintain quality standards consistently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for reporting non-conformances.
Commitment to adhering to all company safety and quality standards.
Ability to follow up on corrective actions and ensure they are successfully implemented.
Familiarity with industry-specific electrical standards and client requirements.
