The Assistant Night Audit at Ramada Resort Dar es Salaam is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the financial integrity and front office operations during the night shift. The successful candidate will be tasked with conducting comprehensive night audit procedures, balancing daily transactions, and reconciling revenues from various departments including rooms, food and beverage, and banquets. This role ensures that all guest accounts are accurate, cashier reports are verified, and daily financial reports are prepared with the highest level of precision. Additionally, the role involves supervising night shift operations to ensure all guest interactions meet the resort's high standards of service and professionalism. In addition to financial duties, the Assistant Night Audit provides essential support to front office activities, managing guest check-ins, check-outs, and inquiries during the late hours. The role involves coordinating with housekeeping, engineering, and security teams to maintain a safe and efficient environment for guests throughout the night. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional professionalism, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of guest and hotel information while ensuring compliance with all established policies and procedures. This position is vital for maintaining administrative continuity and operational readiness for the following business day.

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 3–5 years of professional experience in hotel operations, front office, or night audit. In-depth knowledge of Opera or other relevant hotel Property Management Systems (PMS). Strong communication and customer service skills to handle guest inquiries and complaints effectively. Proven problem-solving abilities and leadership potential within a hospitality environment. Willingness and ability to work night shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Professional appearance and a positive attitude consistent with international hotel standards. Ability to accurately conduct night audit procedures and balance complex daily transactions. Strict adherence to confidentiality protocols regarding guest data and hotel financial information. Previous supervisory experience in a hospitality or financial setting is an added advantage. Ability to identify revenue discrepancies and rectify audit errors promptly.
