LODGE GENERAL MANAGER @ RAFIKI RETREAT
Rafiki Retreat is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lodge General Manager to oversee all administrative and operational activities of the lodge. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, improving operational performance, driving business growth, and supporting sustainable tourism initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the lodge's reputation, managing staff, and ensuring that all operations run smoothly while providing a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
In addition to operational management, the General Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to increase lodge visibility. This includes managing budgets, preparing financial reports, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. The role requires a candidate who is passionate about environmentally friendly practices and can lead the team in achieving sustainable tourism goals, ensuring the lodge remains a premier destination in the Usa River area.

Key Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel, tourism, or hospitality management
Strong knowledge of the Tanzanian tourism and hospitality industry
Proven experience in developing strategies to increase visibility, occupancy, and business performance
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities
Commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible tourism practices
Fluency in English
Ability to manage cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders
Proficiency in financial reporting and budget oversight
