QA ENGINEER – STRONG API TESTING EXPERTISE @ QUALITY LABS
Quality Labs is seeking a dedicated and experienced QA Engineer with a strong emphasis on API testing to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our backend systems by meticulously testing API endpoints. You will work closely with the development team to identify, document, and track bugs, ensuring that all software meets our high-quality standards.
In this role, you will be expected to handle complex request/response structures and validate multi-step workflows. Proficiency in tools like Postman or Insomnia, along with the ability to execute cURL commands and perform SQL database validations, is essential. We are looking for someone who can perform deep root-cause analysis of API failures and contribute to the overall improvement of our application architecture and testing workflows. Since this role focuses on backend architecture, a clear understanding of authentication and tokens is required to maintain secure and functional API integrations.

Key Requirements
Strong hands-on experience in API testing
Clear understanding of HTTP methods & status codes (2xx / 4xx / 5xx)
Knowledge of headers, authentication, and tokens
Solid grasp of request/response structures, dependencies, and edge cases
Ability to extract, modify, and execute cURL commands
Experience validating multi-step workflows and interconnected API calls
Strong debugging skills with root-cause analysis of API failures
Understanding of backend architecture and application workflows
Basic database validation (SQL)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills for reporting bugs and documenting workflows
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
