ELECTRICAL & MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT ENGINEER / SUPERVISOR @ PPTL
pptl is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical & Maintenance Assistant Engineer / Supervisor to join their team in Tanga. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of electrical systems and equipment within their industrial setting. The successful candidate will report directly to the Electrical & Maintenance Head and be an integral part of the Electrical & Maintenance Department.
The position demands a professional with a strong background in industrial electrical maintenance, encompassing both preventive and breakdown procedures. Key responsibilities include working with LT power distribution systems, MCCs, PCCs, motors, VFDs, soft starters, and control panels. The role also involves supporting ISO audits, maintaining meticulous documentation, and adhering to strict electrical safety procedures, including LOTO and permit-to-work systems. Ideal candidates will possess excellent troubleshooting capabilities and a foundational understanding of 33 kV systems. Key Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Additional certifications in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Safety, or ISO Management Systems
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance
Experience in manufacturing industries such as packaging, plastics, textile, cement, or FMCG
Hands-on experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
Experience in supporting ISO audits and maintaining related documentation
Knowledge of LT power distribution systems, MCCs, PCCs, motors, VFDs, soft starters, and control panels
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams
Familiarity with ISO audit requirements, maintenance documentation, and record keeping
Knowledge of electrical safety procedures, LOTO, and permit-to-work systems
