Poltan is urgently looking for a Senior Procurement Officer to lead and oversee our procurement operations in Geita. This position is vital for ensuring that the company procures high-quality goods and services at the most competitive prices while maintaining efficient supply chain workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset and the ability to manage complex relationships with various suppliers and contractors.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Professional certification and registration with PSPTB or an equivalent body.
Significant experience in a senior-level procurement or supply chain role.
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings.
Comprehensive understanding of procurement cycles and best practices.
Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management software.
Excellent analytical skills for evaluating supplier proposals and market trends.
Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage procurement teams.
Familiarity with contract law and commercial terms in a Tanzanian context.
Proven ability to work independently and manage pressure in a busy environment.
