ACCOUNTANT @ POLTAN
Poltan is currently seeking a highly competent and experienced Accountant to join our team in Geita. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing daily accounting transactions, and ensuring the company stays compliant with all relevant Tanzanian financial regulations and tax laws. This role requires a professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can provide insightful financial data to support business operations.
Key responsibilities include the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, and performing regular bank reconciliations using Tally ERP software. Key Requirements
Must possess a CPA (T) or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in accounting or financial management.
Proven expertise and advanced proficiency in using Tally ERP software.
In-depth knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws and financial reporting standards.
Ability to prepare and analyze complex financial statements and reports.
Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in data entry and ledger management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Swahili.
Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities effectively.
Strong ethical standards and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
