TECHNICAL SALES ENGINEER (2) @ PLASCO
PLASCO is seeking two motivated and results-oriented Technical Sales Engineers to join our dynamic team in Dar es Salaam. As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong business relationships with existing and prospective clients, ensuring that our high-quality product offerings meet their specific engineering needs. You will be at the forefront of our sales operations, driving growth through professional product pitching, presentations, and active market engagement. This role requires a balance of technical engineering knowledge and sophisticated sales strategy to secure orders and contribute to the company's overall sales targets. You will work closely with internal departments, including production, stores, and finance, to ensure that every order is executed seamlessly and that our customers receive the highest level of satisfaction. Additionally, you will play a critical role in gathering market intelligence and providing management with detailed reports on competitor activities, project opportunities, and evolving customer requirements.
Key Requirements
University Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
At least 1 year of professional experience in Technical sales.
Strong ability to manage accounts and foster long-term professional relationships.
Excellent proficiency in both verbal and written English and Kiswahili.
Proven ability to meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
Result-oriented mindset with strong negotiation and order-securing capabilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with SAP software.
Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate technical product benefits.
Analytical mindset to evaluate market intelligence and competitor behavior.
Ability to prepare professional price schedules for formal tenders.
