ENUMERATORS (IFAKARA) 4 POSTS @ PLAN INTERNATIONAL
Plan International Tanzania (PIT) is a child-centered organization dedicated to advancing children’s rights and promoting equality for girls. We are seeking four dedicated enumerators to support an essential data collection exercise for the End line Evaluation of the Strategic Program Area Development (SPAD) project based in Ifakara. The successful candidates will be responsible for a range of tasks including attending specialized training on questionnaires and PIT policies, assisting with the pre-testing of tools, and administering structured questionnaires to target groups in the local communities. In addition to data collection, enumerators will be tasked with conducting Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs). They must ensure the accurate entry of digital data into tablets or computers and maintain strict quality assurance by following sampling procedures and participating in daily debrief sessions. Candidates will also facilitate discussions with diverse groups and translate responses from Swahili to English, all while upholding Plan International’s Child and Youth Safeguarding Policy to ensure participant confidentiality and ethical data management throughout the project duration.
Key Requirements
Must be a graduate from the years 2023 – 2025.
Must be a permanent resident of Ifakara.
Hands-on experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection methodologies from university.
Proficiency in using digital devices (tablets, computers) for questionnaires.
Good English writing and communication skills.
Ability to facilitate community-level discussions effectively.
Experience in translating Swahili scripts to English accurately.
No history of criminal issues, including child or sexual abuse.
Willingness to attend intensive training on questionnaires and PIT policies.
Ability to conduct Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs).
Commitment to maintaining participant confidentiality and data accuracy.
