VERIFICATION OFFICER @ PIPO FREIGHT
PIPO FREIGHT is currently seeking a diligent and experienced Verification Officer to join our team in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all documentation related to freight forwarding operations. This role is critical to our supply chain process and requires a candidate who can manage document entry, lodge entries efficiently, and conduct thorough physical verification at the port. We are looking for a professional who is committed to maintaining the high standards of our logistics services.
Candidates will be expected to work from our office located on Migombani Street, Mikocheni, Dar es Salaam. You must possess a strong understanding of customs regulations and the TANCIS system to succeed in this role. The selected individual will be required to participate in an initial online interview followed by a subsequent face-to-face evaluation. Key Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience using TANCIS in a licensed CFA.
Proven experience in document verification and entry lodgement.
Demonstrated experience conducting physical verification at the port.
Comprehensive knowledge of HS Classification and Customs Procedures.
Fluent in both English and Swahili.
Strong computer and technical skills.
High level of attention to detail, integrity, and professionalism.
Ability to interpret complex shipping and customs documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internal logistics software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
