GENERAL MANAGER @ PIPO FREIGHT
PIPO FREIGHT is seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee our logistics and clearing operations in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving business growth through effective team leadership and client relationship management. Salary: TZS 2,000,000 – 4,000,000 per month. The role involves optimizing freight processes, maintaining strong relationships with customs authorities, and mentoring staff to achieve operational excellence. Applicants should be prepared for an initial online interview process followed by a face-to-face assessment at our office located on Migombani Street 46, Mikocheni.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Clearing & Forwarding.
At least 2 years of supervisory/management experience.
Strong team management and leadership skills.
Good knowledge of TRA compliance and customs procedures.
Strong client handling and communication skills.
Fluent in English and Swahili.
Proficiency in logistics management software and tools.
Strategic planning and organizational skills.
Ability to manage complex daily operations and problem-solve effectively.
