ON-SITE ENGINEER – ELECTRICAL (5 POSITIONS) @ PGN CAREER SOLUTIONS
PGN CAREER SOLUTIONS is seeking highly motivated Tanzanian candidates to join our on-site power generation maintenance team on short-term contracts. Successful candidates will support safe, reliable, and efficient operation of generator systems in a continuous 24/7 environment, ensuring maximum uptime and operational excellence for our clients' critical infrastructure. As part of our dedicated engineering team, you will be responsible for executing high-level electrical technical tasks, ensuring safety compliance, and contributing to the overall reliability of the power plant. This role offers an opportunity to work with large-scale industrial equipment in a fast-paced environment where results-driven professionals can thrive and demonstrate their expertise in the energy sector.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Extensive experience in power generation or large industrial plants
Familiarity with large CAT generators or heavy equipment
Proven ability in troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA)
Knowledge of reliability improvements and performance data analysis
Strict adherence to safety protocols including Permit-to-Work and LOTO
Flexibility to work in a continuous 24/7 operational environment
Strong technical reporting and documentation skills
Ability to lead on-site maintenance teams and coordinate workflows
Proficiency in electrical diagnostic tools and software
