ENERGY ECONOMIST / FINANCIAL ANALYST @ PFI COMPANY
The Energy Economist/Financial Analyst will lead financial modeling and analysis for energy sector assignments across East Africa. Key responsibilities include identifying opportunities for Results-Based Finance, Carbon Finance, and Blended Finance to support clean energy transitions. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders to ensure the financial viability of energy projects and provide rigorous economic insights to support policy and investment decisions.
Key Requirements
Advanced degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field
At least 7 years of experience in energy-sector financial analysis
Experience in Results-Based Finance, Carbon Finance, or Blended Finance
Expertise in financial modeling and economic forecasting
Ability to interpret complex energy policy and market trends
Proficiency in data analysis software (Excel, Stata, etc.)
Strong presentation skills for high-level stakeholders
Deep understanding of regional energy markets in East Africa
Ability to manage multiple financial streams concurrently
Commitment to sustainable energy development
