SENIOR PLANT METALLURGIST @ PERSEUS MINING(TANZANIA) LIMITED
Perseus Mining (Tanzania) Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Plant Metallurgist to join their operations. The successful candidate will report to the Metallurgical Superintendent and provide essential technical leadership to optimize metallurgical processes. You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that all processing operations meet safety, production, and recovery targets, and managing environmental obligations effectively.
The role requires an individual who is commercially astute and capable of leading incident investigations and workforce development. You will champion a zero-harm safety culture while ensuring all metallurgical activities comply with safety and environmental regulations. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate across functions, provide mentorship to junior staff, and leverage process simulation tools to achieve business goals and processing excellence.

Key Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Minerals Processing, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in metallurgical or mineral processing roles.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior or supervisory metallurgical role.
Demonstrated experience in gold processing operations.
Proven ability to manage health, safety, environment, and community relations.
Strong understanding of workplace policies, codes of conduct, and industrial relations frameworks.
Experience in workforce planning, succession planning, and skills development.
Proficiency with process simulation and modelling tools.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on business value and commercial outcomes.
Exceptional communication skills to lead and engage diverse teams.
